Ireland is a country of great natural beauty and its capital, Dublin, is a forward-looking European city with flourishing business and financial institutions. It is large enough to support a vigorous social and cultural life, yet its compactness enables it to retain a familiarity rarely found in capital cities.
Foreign visitors soon feel at home in Dublin and quickly realise that Irish people have a genuine interest in making new friends and acquaintances. |
| Why the International Study Centre? |
The International Study Centre was founded in 1988 and it is recognised by the Irish Department of Education as an English language school for the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language. It is also a member of RELSA (Recognised English Language Schools Association) and an official centre for Trinity College [London] examinations.
Throughout the year language programmes for adults are held at the school's premises in the city centre. During the summer, courses for younger learners are held at a separate centre.
The teachers at the I.S.C are aware that for some students it is their first extended period abroad and therefore every effort is made to help them settle into their new environment.
At the I.S.C. students are welcomed from all over the world and they study and make new acquaintances in a friendly but hard-working atmosphere. |
